TBG releases the first ‘Tweet delivery by country’ product for brands on Twitter
Posted by: Jamie O’Brien
Tweet delivery by country on ONE Media Manager brings geo-targeting to organic tweets for the first time; until now organic Tweets have been shown to all followers. It means brands can now manage local markets through a single twitter handle, rather than having to manage separate handles for different countries. It’s also free for brands to use this feature in ONE.
When you set a location for a Tweet using ONE Media Manager it will only be served to your followers who are in that location. So now when a follower of a brand travels internationally they can be shown different content and offers based on their current location. Additionally it allows brands to run tests by serving different content in different locations and then compare performance.
This kind of targeting can also give brands the freedom to be more specific with their Tweets. Brands are normally wary of putting out regional content on Twitter, as there is a high risk that users could see it as irrelevant and unfollow them, with Tweet delivery by country this is no longer a worry. Adapting content for local users by referencing local news or events means that content can be more relevant, without the risk of annoying users outside of that country—and more relevant content means better performance.
Tweet delivery by country on Twitter is currently only available with ONE Media Manager, so if you want to know more talk to TBG or follow us on Twitter or Tumblr.
